The Nutcracker Comes to the Mahalia Jackson
Delta Festival Ballet's enchanting production of The Nutcracker has been captivating New Orleans audiences since 1981 and will be returning December 2024.
This beloved holiday tradition, under the artistic direction of Joseph Giacobbe, features the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra providing a magical musical backdrop. The performance boasts an impressive lineup, including international guest stars including Sarah Lane and Chun Wai Chan from renowned companies such as American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet, alongside talented local professionals and a corps of young dancers from the Greater New Orleans area.

The Mahalia Jackson Theatre will hold performances of The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 21 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, December 22 at 2 p.m.
