Seed to Soul: Experiential Art Exposition by Chef Jas

On Thursday, February 29th from 6 to 9 p.m., the Ace Hotel in New Orleans' dynamic Warehouse District will unveil its alternative experiential art exposition by Chef Jas titled "Ancestral Kitchens: From Seed to Infinite."

This multidisciplinary art exhibit, in collaboration with Material Institute, will be displayed from February to April of this year.

The installation celebrates and promotes holistic health and wellness. The vegan and distinctly countercultural art show integrates food and nutrition with personal history and self-reflection. The artists' goal is to stimulate contemplation on the interconnectedness and interdependence between the viewer and nature. The opening party will feature homemade kombucha, an edible alter, and a musical appearance by DJ Funke, promising an experience as spectacular as the installation itself.

Hailing from the South, Chef Jas, a plant-based chef, and caterer, will take over the Ace Hotel's Gallery location for two months. She has garnered attention in New Orleans' vegan scene for her fresh and vibrant approach to vegan cuisine. Each of her dishes bursts with color and natural flavors, from butter bean curry and basmati rice to plant based "pulpo" ceviche, showcasing how veganism can be both flavorful and exciting.

Chef Jas' talents extend beyond the kitchen; she is skilled in indigo dyeing, medicine cloth making, and specializes in crafting herbal cocktails and flower essences. This dynamic and distinctive exhibition promises to inspire all who attend. Attend Chef Jas' opening party at the Ace Hotel on February 29 for a party that will have you dancing, feeling inspired, and thoroughly nourished.
