Satchmo SummerFest Volunteer Opportunities
Satchmo SummerFest is looking for volunteers to help make this year's festival a success. This is a fun way to spend your weekend while giving back to New Orleans.
Presented by the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Foundation (NOTCF), Satchmo SummerFest returns to the New Orleans Jazz Museum on August 1 and 2, 2026. The festival celebrates the life, music, and lasting legacy of music legend Louis Armstrong with live music, local culture, and community spirit.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people, support New Orleans music, and experience the festival from behind the scenes. Whether you're a local, visiting the city, a student, or just a fan of great music, everyone is welcome to sign up.
Volunteers can choose from several roles throughout the weekend. Different positions are available, and full job descriptions and volunteer guidelines are provided before the festival.
Volunteer Info
Every volunteer receives a limited-edition Satchmo SummerFest volunteer T-shirt. Volunteers also earn a $10 pre-loaded RFID card for each completed shift, which can be used at the official merchandise booth and beverage vendors. Those who work multiple shifts in one day may also receive food and beverage credits. Volunteers can also enjoy complimentary snacks and water during their shift, as well as enter raffles for exclusive festival prizes.
Participants must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers working in beverage booths where alcohol is served must be at least 21. Everyone must sign a volunteer waiver and follow the festival's volunteer guidelines.
