Help Bring Satchmo SummerFest to Life
Volunteer registration is now open for the 2025 Satchmo SummerFest, happening August 2 to 3 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.
Presented by French Quarter Festivals, Inc. and powered by the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund (NOTCF), Satchmo SummerFest brings together two days of live traditional jazz, brass bands, and seminars spotlighting Armstrong's legacy and influence. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping the festival smooth, fun, and free for all.
What Volunteers Do
There are a variety of roles available—from greeting festival-goers and assisting at merchandise booths to helping in beverage areas (for those 21+). Some volunteers serve as floaters or support staff, ensuring operations run seamlessly across the grounds of the Jazz Museum.

Included Volunteer Perks
- A limited-edition Satchmo SummerFest volunteer t-shirt
- A $10 pre-loaded RFID card per shift, good for beverages or merch
- Food and drink credits for those working multiple shifts in a day
- Entry into exclusive raffles and prize giveaways
- Complimentary snacks and water during shifts
