The Van Gogh Expo is Coming to NOLA in 2022

Are you ready to be immersed into the world of art like you've never been before?

Tickets for Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, which is set to come to New Orleans sometime during April 2022, will be released this Friday, December 10, at 10 a.m. The expo itself will be presenting a new way to enjoy and experience the works of the late, Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, widely considered to be one of the most important figures in Western art.

The expo will immerse attendees into some of van Gogh's most famous works using 360-degree digital displays, VR experiences, projection mapping, sound effects, and much more. The VR experience, titled "A Day in the Life of the Artist," will offer a 10-minute journey through the inspirations for eight of the artist's most iconic pieces, such as The Starry Night.

Where the expo will be located in April 2022 will be announced soon, but it's promising to 20,000 square feet of light and sound, as well as two-story projections of van Gogh's work. The location will be wheelchair accessible and COVID safe.

The expo will be will be entry time slots every half hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends and holidays. According to the expo's website, it should take around 60 to 75 minutes to experience and see everything that is on offer.

Tickets will be $32.20 for adults, $19.10 for children, and free for kids under 4 years old.
