One of New Orleans's best festivals this year has officially released its sixth annual appearance dates. The Fried Chicken Festival is back and bigger than ever in the Big Easy September 30 through October 1 at the New Orleans Lakefront on Lakeshore Drive and Franklin Ave .
This annual fried chicken fest has got heads turning and mouths watering already!
In celebration of National Fried Chicken Day, Raising Cane's Chicken Finger will present the festival and partner with the Spears Group and Festivals for Good to produce everything this grand slam needs.
Whether your a NOLA native or not, you can purchase tickets and expect there to be something for the whole family to do. Activities will include live music, cooking demonstrations and a stacked lineup of restaurants showcasing their best versions of fried chicken. The variety available may be overwhelming; attendees may need a break, but don't let that stop you from making room for more.
Contests will also be held to claim the Best Fried Chicken and Best Use of Chicken in a Dish. In addition to honoring a New Orleans culinary icon.
The festival's first time being along Lakeshore Drive was in 2022 and ran from Franklin Avenue to Seabrook Bridge. Over 107,400 came out to experience the event and were able to try 35 restaurants from all over the country and, of course, the New Orleans area.
Founded in 2016, the Fried Chicken Festival has stood by its slogan, "Food is Culture." Curating the perfect environment to encourage family-friendly fun and a Southern good time.
Raising Canes has also been a proud presenter of FCF for the last six years. Since their restaurant was created in Louisiana and specializes in fresh, crispy fried tenders, the company plans to do its best to make this festival unforgettable.
