Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka to Lead Orpheus
The Krewe of Orpheus will be joined by Monarchs Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka on Monday, February 12 to celebrate the 2024 Mardi Gras season. Harris and Burtka will lead the parade, whose upcoming theme will be "Music of the Spheres."
Also joining the Orpheus Monarchs in the parade are Miss USA Noelia Voight, Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava, and the Big Easy Boys. Voight and Srivastava will be riding on the Smokey Mary float while the Big Easy Boys can be seen on the signature Dolly Trolley.
Monarchs Harris and Burtka will lead the parade, which includes 42 floats and 30 marching units, down the traditional Uptown route. The parade will end inside the Ernst N. Morial Convention Center where the party continues at the Orpheuscapade. Joining the Monarchs at the Convention Center will be the headlining performer for the Orpheuscapade: Taylor Dane.
Other performers at the Orpheuscapade include Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, 12 South, and The Mixed Nuts. Playing a variety of jazz, swing, and dance music, there will be nonstop live music and dancing for eight hours.
