Travel back in time with Friends of the Cabildo and see how the Creoles of Christmas past embellished their homes to welcome the holiday season!
Friends of the Cabildo will be hosting its 43rd annual Creole Christmas Home & Courtyard Tour on December 28-29, starting at the 1850 House on 523 St. Ann Street. Guests will marvel at the fine decor of multiple historic houses in the French Quarter, including the Beauregard-Keyes House, the Gallier House, the Hermann-Grima House, and the Spring Fiesta Historic House. In addition, the Historic New Orleans Collection will be showcasing their Aeolian Organ on 520 Royal St.
Tours will be limited to two hours (10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m.) as well as 50 guests due to COVID-19 restrictions with house cleanings in between sessions. Mask-wearing will be mandatory unless outdoors, and masks will be available free-of-charge to guests without one.
Tickets cost $30 for members and $40 for guests. They can be purchased online or at the 1850 House. If you love historic walking tours and Christmas in the Big Easy, this is the tour for you!
