Dinner Event at Miss River
On Wednesday, March 26, at 6 p.m., the Jacques Pepin Foundation will be visiting New Orleans as a part of their 90/90 campaign to honor Chef Pepin's milestone 90th birthday and his prolific 75-year career as an educator and chef with 90 fundraising dinners across the country.
This celebratory evening in Miss River at Four Season Hotel on 2 Canal St. will be hosted by chef and co-founder of Pomegranate Hospitality Alon Shaya. Chef Shaya will present and prepare a five-course menu that reimagines Chef Pepin's classic dishes with Louisiana ingredients and flavors such as fromage forte on Melba toast, crab gratin, redfish on the half shell, and crêpe Suzette with Creole cream cheese ice cream, to name only a few.
Although this evening will feature Chef Shaya's five-course menu, it is only a small part of the 90/90 campaign to directly support the Jacque Pepin Foundation's mission to honor Chef Pepin's generosity and passion for sharing his culinary knowledge through culinary education, Community Kitchen grants, educational programs, and a new JPF Learning Curriculum. With this one evening, the JPF could continue and improve on their charitable work to provide grants, cookbook libraries, and other resources nationwide for workforce development for the hospitality industry for years to come.
All are welcome to join this charity dinner event, provided they make a reservation payment for the evening. The cost for reservations would be $250, which would go towards the Jacque Pepin Foundations' mission to build and foster a supportive community, hope, and opportunity for a brighter future across the country.
If you wish to join in on this fine evening with a phenomenal five-course experience while supporting an organization dedicated to supporting and serving underprivileged communities through their culinary work, then do not hesitate and reserve a spot for yourself in Miss Rivers at the Four Season Hotel on March 26.
