From Sunrise to Sunset at Alma Cafe
Nestled in the heart of the Bywater, Alma Cafe has become a beloved New Orleans eatery known for its authentic Honduran cuisine. In preparation for their dinner service launch this fall, James Beard semifinalist and Alma Cafe chef and owner Melissa Araujo is hosting a limited number of exclusive dinner previews each Friday from July 26 through September 13. Reservations are encouraged, with first seating at 5 p.m. and last at 9:45 p.m.

"We've been asked for quite some time when we will offer dinner and are thrilled to launch this fall," Chef Araujo said in a press release. "Our Friday dinner previews will provide a sneak peek into what we have in store. Dinner was a hit in the past, and we hope it will strike a chord with our loyal customers and give those who haven't tried Alma Cafe a great reason to do so."
Blending traditional bites with a modern flare, guests are invited to savor dishes such as Aguachile Negro, Tostada de Tuna, Pork Belly with pickled vegetables, New England Style Lobster Roll, Barbecue Pork Ribs, and many more. Using ingredients from her own backyard, Chef Araujo's dishes take inspiration from her early childhood in La Ceiba, Honduras and her beloved grandmother's cooking.

With an innovative cocktail menu carefully crafted by head bartender Mark Preston, beverages such as the Smoked Rosemary Negroni Sour, Paloma No. 2, and Pimm's Cup are guaranteed to pair deliciously with your evening meal.
As the addition of dinner service marks a new chapter in the cafe's history, guests are invited to dine in and celebrate Honduran food, culture, and music at Alma Cafe. Head on over any Friday between July 26 and September 13 for an exclusive and unmissable Honduran dining experience.
