Tujague's 170th Anniversary
Tujague's Restaurant is one of the grand dame's of New Orleans cuisine, and they're celebrating its 170th year in service!
The location may have changed, but the exquisite drinks (try the quintessential Grasshopper), unparalleled food, and fun atmosphere remain the same. Over two stories, Tujague's hosted a local star-studded affair who sipped bubbly and house-labeled wine while enjoying oysters (raw and fried), crab cakes, tuna crudo, roast, and little dessert cakes and macarons.
The winding rooms of the latest incarnation of Tujague's were quickly filled up to the point that it became difficult to get a look at the celebrity photos that lined the halls. Even the balcony overlooking Decatur Street held diners who basked in the glow of the original neon sign. Here's to 170 more!
