The Hall on Mag: A New Dining Experience
Calling all New Orleans foodies!
This July marked the grand opening of The Hall on Mag, a highly anticipated eatery that sits in the same location of the old Auction House Market. The new establishment is black-owned and operated and hosts six kitchens with global food options.
The Hall on Mag was inspired by Jamal Wilson's Hall on Franklin in Tampa, Florida. Wilson recently opened a third location in Orlando, and hopes to have a fourth in Atlanta, very soon. The owner's goal is to set up these modern food hall's throughout the South and up the East Coast.

The Concepts
The Hall on Mag is home to six different restaurants with six distinct personalities and dining experiences.
Itzayana
Pronounced it-zah-yah-na, the name of this Mexican inspired kitchen has Mayan origins and means "Gift from God". Itzayana boasts the fluffiest tacos, but they also serve a variety of snacks and sweets!
Our Rec: Rajas con Queso - a sweet chili taco with onions, peppers, corn, queso frito, garlic crema and charred tomato salsa.
El Greco
El Greco serves "a fresh take on Mediterranean classics". Try any of their tasty shareables, or a hearty fare for yourself.
Our Rec: Fig Compote, Citrus Hot Honey, & Grilled Pita - a divine mix for the table.
South & Common
Head to South & Common for a traditional Southern comfort meal with a New Orleans twist! This kitchen offers food that will transport you to your grandmother's dining room table. Don't miss out on a wonderful Southern tradition!

American Culture
