NOCHI Announces King Cake Workshop Series for Carnival Season

Learn to Make NOLA's Most Beloved Carnival Treat

The New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute (NOCHI) is bringing sweet excitement to Carnival season with their upcoming King Cake Workshop series. This innovative program offers participants a hands-on experience in the art of king cake making, combining practical skills with rich cultural history.

Led by Martha Gilreath of Nolita Bakery and Matt Haines, author of The Big Book of King Cake, these interactive sessions will guide participants through the process of shaping and baking their own king cakes. The workshops, scheduled for January 28 and February 18 from 6-8 p.m., promise an evening of "fragrant smells and fabulous storytelling."

NOCHI, located at 725 Howard Ave., continues its mission of providing world-class culinary education through these specialized workshops. As a premier culinary institute, NOCHI offers various professional and enthusiast programs designed to enhance New Orleans' rich culinary heritage.
