Meril 10th Anniversary Dinner
Meril, a restaurant by world-renowned Chef Emeril Lagasse, is celebrating a decade on Girod Street with a one-night-only anniversary dinner on September 30. With the purchase of a $195 ticket from OpenTable, guests will be treated to a welcoming reception and a family-style dinner with Chef Lagasse himself.
Meril, named after Lagasse's daughter, was created by the chef in 2016 as a casual dining experience and has been a cherished neighborhood eatery ever since. With a horseshoe bar, expansive dining room, and open kitchen, the restaurant cooks up small plates and shareable dishes inspired by flavors from around the world while maintaining the culinary essence of New Orleans. Seasonal specials keep things fresh at the establishment all year round.
A New Decade of Meril & More Info
Beginning a new decade, Meril has made some exciting changes to their restaurant. Meril recently launched their weekend brunch menu, featuring dishes such as Bananas Foster pancakes and shrimp and grits. You can order these items from Meril on Saturdays and Sundays. Chef Keisha Septon has recently become Meril's chef de cuisine and is helping lead the restaurant into its next decade. Also, a second Meril location has opened! The Emeril Group recently opened a second Meril location at M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas.
To commemorate a decade of great food and spectacular service, the anniversary celebration will begin with the welcome reception featuring passed bites, specialty cocktails, music, and additional surprises and activities. After the reception, the family-style dinner will include Meril favorites with paired wines. Cocktails will be served as well throughout the evening. Chef Lagasse says Meril was created as a place where people could "come together, have fun, and share great food" and that this remains central to the restaurant 10 years later.
