If you are someone who loves vegetables, then National Eat Your Vegetables Day is perfect for you. National Eat Your Vegetables Day takes place annually during National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month. This year, it falls on June 17. Carmo

Carmo, a New Orleans restaurant and bar, was founded in 2010 by Dana and Christina Honn. Carmo is known for serving healthy dishes to vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike. Its menu is crafted with fresh, local ingredients and unique flavors from around the world. Bearcat Café

Bearcat Café in Uptown is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its menu includes a section of healthy dishes to satisfy both the light diner to those with the heartiest of appetites. True Food Kitchen

With many locations across the country, True Food Kitchen, founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, is one of the main local restaurants to be based on science. Its menu is handcrafted into special dishes that allow customers to eat well, feel energized, and to do so with added flavor. Enjoy some of the restaurant's specialties like umami with a grass-fed burger, a kale salad with a lemony and tart dressing, a bowl with healthy grains, or an agricultural handmade pizza.
