Liberty’s Kitchen to Provide 10,000 Meals to New Orleanians

With the support of a grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, New Orleans youth advocate organization Liberty's Kitchen will be giving away 10,000 meals to five community organizations.

"Thanks to their generosity, the Hilton Foundation has given Liberty's Kitchen an opportunity to provide 10,000 meals to those in need," Liberty's Kitchen CEO Dennis Bagneris said. "Our work has always been highly collaborative, and this is our chance to continue that investment for the good of our community."

The grant from the Hilton Foundation will help Liberty's Kitchen provide 10,000 hot meals to locals affected by COVID-19. Recipients are local community organizations: Ozanam Inn, Covenant House, Southern Solidarity, Lantern Light, and Grace at the Greenlight. Liberty's Kitchen will prepare 1,000 meals per week for 10 weeks to distribute to these organizations. The campaign began this week and will continue through September.

Liberty's Kitchen assists New Orleans youth reach their potential through workforce training and leadership development.
