Bidding Goodbye to a New Orleans' Favorite: Red Gravy Restaurant

Local favorite Italian restaurant, Red Gravy, just announced they will close their doors this Saturday, April 30. Known for their handmade pasta, their classic red gravy, and dishes like carbonara, bolognese, ravioli, and shrimp scampi, Red Gravy has offered a cozy, delicious place for our Italian food cravings for a long time. And their cannoli and tiramisu were perfetto.

For more than ten years, Red gravy served dishes that had customers going back for more, but owner, Roseann Rostoker announced on Facebook that Covid and Hurricane Ida made it difficult fro them to carry on. She writes with regret that the Red Gravy family will be closing, but also notes how much the support of her staff has meant to her as well as the warm reception they've always gotten from customers and neighbors.

Those of us who were lucky enough to dig into a plate of Chicken Parmigiana or Flounder LImone or any other tasty dish will miss this restaurant dearly.

Ciao and grazie, Red Gravy!
