With fall right around the corner, we've rounded up our top 10 spots to pick the perfect pumpkin in New Orleans.

From timeless orange classics to sparkling purple glitter creations, this list has something for every style and seasonal activity. Additionally, we also have festivals and events for you, friends, and family to attend this fall.

1. First Presbyterian

This famous patch located off of South Claiborne is known in the New Orleans community for its abundance in pumpkins and elaborate layout. First Presbyterian partnered with Pumpkins USA to provide grown in New Mexico. These pumpkins grown on Navajo land are sourced by over 700 Native Americans each year.

Pumpkins USA operates by only having churches pay for what they sell, so churches never lose a dime. This partnership has flourished into one of the best places to get your pumpkins in New Orleans. Starting at the beginning of October, you can get pumpkins of a various size, shape, and color.

2. Woodland Church

Woodland Church's patch begins October 7 and runs until the end of the month, giving you an abundance of time to gather last minute decor or gifts. This year, in addition to the patch, they are hosting Saturdays at the Patch, where they will have activities, games, and crafts for all ages. Specifically, on October 12, they will have pulled pork sandwiches, which benefit the Trail Life Troop. Make sure to stop by, especially on Saturdays, for a patch filled with adventure but more importantly, pumpkins.

Additionally, Woodland Church will hold their annual Harvest Fest on October 26. The festival includes games, vendors, and activities. Make sure to wear your costumes for trick-or-treating.

3. St. Augustine's Episcopal Church

Located in Metairie, Saint Augustine's pumpkin patch is a yearly October tradition visited by many. Entrance to the patch is free.

While you are there, you have access to a variety of vendors showing jewelry, crafts, and home-baked goods. If you are in the area or want to check out some state-of-the-art pumpkins, make sure to stop by Saint Augustine Church.

4. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church

Beginning September 27, come see Uptown's favorite pumpkin patch. Located on S. Carrollton Street, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church provides a fall filled day for you and your family. Open weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., you do not want to miss this patch.

To get more involved, St. Andrew's calls upon volunteers to help keep their patch running. To give back this fall season, consider helping St. Andrew's to sell their pumpkins at one of the largest patches in New Orleans.

5. St. Paul's Episcopal School

Join St. Paul's Episcopal School on October 5 to acquire your fall pumpkins. This patch is card only, so make sure to bring your wallet to gather your fall decor.

6. Sugar Roots Farm

Sugar Roots will be back hosting its annual Pumpkin Fest this year. Held October 12, 19 and 26, join Sugar Fest for horse back rides, crafts, pumpkins patches, bouncy houses and local vendors.

This fall festival is a great way to spend a Saturday in October while in New Orleans.

7. St. Martin's Episcopal Church

St. Martin's, beginning in October, will hold its annual community pumpkin patch. The patch is held to support ministries of the church, as well as the community.

Head over to the Westbank and visit St. Mark's Episcopal Church this October for their annual pumpkin patch. Located on Manhattan Boulevard in Harvey, the pumpkin patch is free to visit.

In addition to purchasing pumpkins, guests can also experience photo ops, enjoy a petting zoo, and even try the church's famous pumpkin bread.
