Time to Turn Up the Volume

This year's music lineup is stacked with popular artists and bands from a range of genres. The first Saturday will feature Third Eye Blind, an increasingly popular American Rock band with over 2.1 billion streams on Spotify, opening with folk singer-songwriter Peabody. The next three Saturdays will showcase American rhythm and blues vocal group The Spinners, with opener Irma Thomas; country band Shane Smith & the Saints, with opener Them Ol' Ghosts; and country singer-songwriter Gretchen Wilson, with opener Amanda Shaw.

In past years, the festival has hosted multiple local artists and national favorites, including The Revivalists, Trombone Shorty and returning artist Irma Thomas. Gretna Festin' also recently announced that it will return in 2027 as a 3-day weekend in October, rather than the current calendar of weekly single concerts throughout the month, along with a change of scenery in the newly renovated Marketplace.

What's the Plan

The festival began in 1994 as a small community gathering and has grown exponentially, now one of the city's biggest festivals. This year, the month-long celebration invites the state to a slightly altered event in Downtown Gretna for not only their live music, but also for movies, food vendors and family bonding for the month of October, with live music and movie nights on the first four Saturdays of the month. '

The concert series will take place at 740 2nd Street in Gretna, Louisiana. Tickets are free of charge for all. Each Saturday, the opener will start at 5 p.m., with headliners to follow. For more information, visit the Gretna Fest website or call at (504) 363-1552.
