Trade in Beads for Doughnuts
Krispy Kreme's bead drive is making a come back this year! Beads-for-Doughnuts is hosted by Krispy Kreme with a goal of giving pastry lovers free doughnuts when participants bring in beads from Mardi Gras.
Participants will receive a coupon for a free dozen glazed doughnuts for every 12 pounds of beads they bring in to the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts located at 825 Clearview Pkwy. in Metairie. Come in between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on March 5 and 6 with your pounds of beads for free, hot, and delicious doughnuts! This event will also be taking place at the following Krispy Krewe locations: 5504 Plank Rd. in Baton Rouge and 3031 S. McKenzie St. in Foley, Alabama.
The beads are collected and sent to The Arc of Greater New Orleans and Augusta Evans School in Mobile, Alabama. ArcGNO works extensively with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by employing them to recycle beads while simultaneously keeping the streets of New Orleans free of litter.
The coupon for free doughnuts can be redeemed at any participating Krispy Kreme location until April 15 or while supplies last.
