Back in 2015, Mike Pence and Donald Trump visited Louisiana after the devastating floods as candidates for Vice President and President, respectively. Now, the VP of the United States remains relatively quiet while trying to push forwards Republican agendas.
While the President is away on his first overseas trip to the Middle East, Pence is planning to visit Baton Rouge on Wednesday. The trip, which will be Pence's second to Louisiana in the past 12 months, will come just a day after President Trumps' proposed budget for the Fiscal year starting October 1. It is expected that Pence will speak on the controversial health care and budget plans, presumably propping them up on a pedestal. It is unclear whether Gov. Edwards will meet VP Pence at the airport or not.
