CNN Money reported this week that Taco Bell is working hard to bring emoji equality to taco lovers. With both a change.org petition and a strong social media campaign, Taco Bell is fighting for a taco emoji to be included in the update to the emoji system as part of a code update this June.
Other finalists for the emoji update include racially diverse emoji faces, a zipper mouth face, prayer beads, a cricket bat and a taco.
The six most requested food item emojis include a hot dog, a burrito, a bottle with a popping cork, popcorn, turkey and a cheese wedge, all of which could be included in the emoji update.
