Not only did this iteration of the Audubon Aquarium's Scales and Ales mark a triumphant post-pandemic occasion, it's the first big bash since The Insectarium left its longtime home at the Federal Building and merged with The Aquarium. This was the first time many people saw the new spaces, and they very much enjoyed being able to hover over the main shark tank for the first time ever and pet all the creatures in the new touch tank. The Insectarium was also buzzing with activity as staff members were on-hand to talk about creatures and serve up some bug-encrusted goodies like cricket cookies.

For the not-as adventurous sort, the lineup of great food, desserts, and drinks around Waldenburg Park were more than enough, and they could dance while they dined to the sounds of T. Ray The Violinist, Big Sam's Funky Nation, and many more artists.
