In addition, 750 mL bottles of the Sazerac House's Sazerac Rye will be available in the distillery's on-site shop for $27.

This milestone is important to the Sazerac House, as well as the Sazerac Company, because the rye is the most essential component to make the famous Sazerac drink, which was named New Orleans' official cocktail by the Louisiana State Legislature in 2008 according to a press release for the event. Other ingredients used for the cocktail include Peychaud's Bitters and Herbsaint, which is an absinthe-substitute.

General Manager Ed Bell and Distillery Operations Manager Noah Brown, who both joined the Sazerac House's team in 2022, will both be in-attendance at the event and will be mingling with attendees.

The distillery, which was recently named one of the United States' top visitor destinations at the Icons of Whisky awards according to the press release, regularly offers tours of its 48,000 square foot interior. Guests are able to experience New Orleans' cocktail culture through three floors of interactive exhibits, an on-site Sazerac Rye distillery, and a Peychaud's Bitters production facility.
