Omni Royal Orleans Hotel's New Jazz Club and Bar
With its grand opening in 1843, the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel has become a historic French Quarter lodging location, which is now expanding its amenities with a new live-music lounge and lobby bar.
The construction is expected to be completed before Mardi Gras 2026, just in time to host an influx of guests traveling to experience the excitement of New Orleans' most popular event.

What's New with Omni Royal?
The hotel's expansion includes the newly established Three Maries Jazz Club and the Royal Bar, bringing guests together for an intimate musical and social experience.
The jazz club will draw on the New Orleans music scene, hosting local artists and jazz bands. The venue will be located in the heart of the hotel, with 68 available seats, and its design is inspired by romantic garden conservatories.
The hotel preserved its original map made of glass and gold, and features this among the club's dark walls and floral detailing. The antique map is a testament to the hotel's reputation as a respected historic establishment.
The Royal Bar addition is located in the hotel's lobby and can seat 84 guests. The bar shares a drink menu with Three Maries Jazz Club, featuring their Royal Old Fashioned and Brandy Crusta.
The food menu draws on the cuisine of the hotel's steakhouse, Rib Room, creating a cohesive entertainment and social experience accompanied by available food, drink, and boarding accommodations.
The interior design of the Royal Bar is inspired by the style of European glasshouses. The design consists of marble and wooden floors, lime-washed walls, black trim, and a horseshoe-shaped brass bar.
The History of Omni Royal
The Omni Royal Orleans Hotel has an extensive history, beginning with James Hewlett's dream of opening a grand hotel in the 1800s. His success in opening the hotel has paved the way for its contributions to New Orleans' tourism and, now, its new musical and social accommodations.
After five years of construction and design, the hotel opened in 1843 and hosted its first 600 guests, marking the start of reimagined luxury lodging.
