Commemorating 20 Years of the Sculpture Garden

A new book cataloging the New Orleans Museum of Art's Besthoff Sculpture Garden has been released.

The catalogue is titled Where Art Meets Nature: The Sydney & Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden and was initially unveiled at the Visionaries Gala on November 7 to celebrate the installation's 20 years of operation. The catalogue is sold exclusively at the NOLA Museum Shop for now. But don't fret—the book will be available in stores internationally beginning December 3.

The new volume is 256 pages and includes full-color pictures of every work in the sculpture garden, all nestled in a hardcover catalogue that documents the full history of the garden, including the 2019 expansion that doubled its size. The catalogue also features a slew of new pieces from Sarah Sze, Elmgreen & Dragset, and Thomas J Price, as well as closes out a year of accompanying programming that included three new permanent installations, a free fall festival, and the aforementioned Visionaries Gala and Garden Party.

Purchase the book from NOMA's Museum Shop or through its website here.
