New Orleans' best kept secret for affordably priced books
Invest in public libraries by shopping at the fall edition of the Really, REALLY Big Book Sale on Saturday, November 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Milton H. Latter Memorial Library. The sale is hosted by The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library and will include local interest books, literature, biographies, children's and young adult books, DVDs, comic books, and all forms of media in between.
Books are donated by avid readers from across New Orleans and volunteers work year-round to prepare thousands of books for the sale. It's not just about selling books though; it is a celebration of community, literacy, and public libraries.
The Really, REALLY Big Book Sale is a signature fundraiser of The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library that funds important New Orleans Public Library programs, such as the Summer Fun Reading program, adult literacy classes, large print books for the elderly, and much more through the sale of lightly used books. There will be more than 10,000 books to choose from and those who are interested can follow the Friends on Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram to view the most updated inventory list.

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library members will have first grabs exclusively. If you're interested in becoming a member, it is only $35 annually, tax deductible, and directly contributes to literacy programs within the city. For more information visit friendsnola.org.
