New Partnership Brings New Benefits for New Orleans Creatives

In an exciting development for the Greater New Orleans area, the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic and Assistance Foundation, or the NOMC&AF, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with CrescentCare to provide comprehensive healthcare to the city's musicians, cultural bearers, and their families.

Beginning July 1, 2025, this collaboration is finally bringing two iconic organizations committed to the health and wellbeing of the creative community that drives New Orleans' vibrant cultural life together.

This partnership promises a seamless integration of a more expansive model of primary care, mental health, dental, and social services for all their patients to their overall health and well-being that neither organization could do alone. By transitioning from a previous agreement with LSU Healthcare Network, ending on June 30, 2025, NOMC&AF patients will also be transitioning to be under the care of CrescentCare's affordable healthcare model to meet the unique needs of New Orleans' artistic community.

"We are thrilled to welcome our city's musicians and culture bearers into our care at CrescentCare," said Alice Riener, CEO of CrescentCare, in a press release, "This partnership represents a beautiful blend of health and culture rooted in the very soul of New Orleans."

As part of the strategic shift, this partnership ensures that NOMC&AF will be able to continue its vital work while providing expanded services to the community.

Dr. Peggy A Honore, Board Chair of NOMC&AF, explained in a press release, "This strategic decision to partner with CrescentCare gives NOMC&AF the financial stability to provide medical care access, public health interventions, and social services to another generation of musicians, and culture bearers."

With time, this partnership could become much more than a healthcare model—it could be an investment and symbol of deep appreciation for the people who helped shape the fabric of New Orleans and its' culture, granting them the care they truly deserve.
