Stirring Up the Competition
The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation has announced that two New Orleans bars, Jewel of the South and the Sazerac Bar, have snagged spots as finalist nominees for the 2024 Spirited Awards.
Nestled in the French Quarter, Jewel of the South—a modern New Orleans tavern with a classic and cozy vibe—is up for the Best U.S. Bar Team award, courtesy of William Grant & Sons. Meanwhile, the Sazerac Bar at the Roosevelt New Orleans, an upscale cocktail bar with a rich history, is in the running for the Best U.S. Hotel Bar award, presented by Grey Goose.
The Spirited Awards, comprised of renowned titles and international honors, present some of the industry's most coveted awards. Ranging from bartenders to journalists, the Tails of the Cocktail Foundation has spotlighted trailblazers in the drinks industry since 2007.
"It is with immense pleasure that we celebrate those propelling the cocktail industry forward and amplifying their craft within their respective communities," Spirited Awards® overall chair Charlotte Voisey said in a press release. "We are honored to announce our Top Four Finalists for the 2024 Spirited Awards and recognize the incredibly talented individuals receiving the Helen David Lifetime Achievement Award, Timeless U.S. and International Awards, and the Tales Visionary Award."
From July 21 through 26, The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, in partnership with Forbes, will host keynote speeches, educational seminars, tasting rooms, fitness sessions, cocktail tours, and more around New Orleans to celebrate the 22nd annual Tales of the Cocktail Conference.
Winners of the 2024 Top Four Spirited Awards will be announced at the Spirited Awards Ceremony on July 25 at the Fillmore.
