Louisiana's Top Travel Dreams
A new study conducted by student travel experts at Rustic Pathways named Mexico as the top dream destination for Louisiana residents, raking in 1,682 monthly Google searches.
Using the average number of monthly Google searches for terms related to vacations in over 50 different countries, researchers at Rustic Pathways analyzed key searches such as "Japan flights" and "Italy vacation package" to determine the most common dream vacations in Louisiana.
The top five dream vacation places for Louisiana residents are:
Mexico, 1,682 monthly searches
Italy, 1,398 monthly searches
Greece, 1,358 monthly searches
Japan, 1,223 monthly searches
Canada, 900 monthly searches
"For those who can, traveling to other countries and experiencing different ways of life has many benefits, especially for the younger generation. It allows us to experience diverse cultures, learn new perspectives, and break down stereotypes," Rustic Pathways CEO Shayne Fitz-Coy said in a press release.
Rustic Pathways Methodology
Using Google Keyword Planner, experts recorded searches from the past 12 months relating to countries commonly associated with "dream vacations" to reveal the most common dream vacation destination in the state.
"It is fascinating to see the diverse range of countries that top the list of dream destinations. Each of these countries offer unique attractions that cater to various interests, from historical and cultural exploration to world-famous food and natural beauty," Fitz-Coy said in a press release.
Search terms included phrases such as "flights to [country]," "[country] vacation," "[country] flight deals," and "book hotel in [country]." Many other countries, including as Argentina, Brazil, Iceland, and Chile, were included in the study's analysis.
