There is nothing sexier than a man in the kitchen! On November 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Children's Advocacy Center - Hope House will host its 9th Annual Men Who Cook culinary event on the Northshore.
The Children's Advocacy Center is a nonprofit organization devoted to putting an end to child abuse and trafficking in Northshore communities. According to the press release, "Hope House is the only local agency that provides essential services like forensic interviews and free advocacy and counseling to child abuse victims in St. Tammany and Washington Parishes." This year, Hope House is expected to help over 350 children who suffered from abuse.
In support of this mission, over 15 local celebrity and restaurant teams will don their aprons and compete to make the best dish and to raise the most money for Hope House. The teams are yet to be announced, but will be comprised of well-known leaders from St. Tammany and Washington Parishes paired up with top local restaurants on the Northshore. The event will provide specialty drinks, entertainment by Tyler Kinchen & The Right Pieces, and opportunities to win fabulous prizes.
This event will take place at the Rooftop of the Justice
Center Parking Garage, located 601 N. Jefferson Ave. in Covington. Visit cachopehouse.org to purchase tickets at the Men Who
Cook gala. Tickets are $70 per person or $125 per couple.
