Jefferson Parish Councilman, Dominick F. Impastato, III, and other parish officials have announced the new Lafreniere Park Food Pavilion.
This food pavilion, located at 3000 Downs Boulevard at South Point, will be a permanent food and beverage establishment. This facility will be the first of its kind for Jefferson Parish.
New Food Pavilion Coming to Lafreniere Park
The Lafreniere Park Food Pavilion will be an approximately 6,848 square foot amenity, featuring year-round food and beverage concessions to park users and the surrounding community.
There will be four kiosks, each of which will offer different types of food for the public to enjoy. This project will also include a covered seating area for park-goers to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the park. Also, there will be room for outdoor games, public restrooms and a stage for entertainment purposes.
"We want this regional park to be a true destination for residents to enjoy; having this establishment, offering quality food and beverages, will only bring more people into Lafreniere Park," says Councilman Dominick F. Impastato, III.
"Renovating and upgrading our parks is an investment in the well-being of our residents that will pay dividends for years to come," says Impastato.
Lafreniere Park Food Pavilion
Lafreniere Park is a thriving, natural green space which has been nurtured for the past three decades. This park promotes the cultivation and keeping of native, local foliage.
The park hosts several events dedicated to bringing the community together, and overall, the park is a space where members of Jefferson Parish can come together and enjoy the lushness of the environment.
The new food pavilion will be another reason to visit Lafreniere Park, making the space even more accommodating to visitors.
