Food Vendors, Cubes, Poster, and More Revealed at Jazz Fest 2024 Press Party

Party for Jazz Fest

The official poster, food vendors, craft listings, cubes, and info for the 53rd New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival were announced at the Month-Out Press Party on March 26.

Members of the media were invited to the fourth floor Clubhouse at the Fair Grounds Race Course for a series of exciting announcements in regards to this year's Jazz Fest.

The Month-Out Press Party saw an assortment of guest speakers including Jazz Fest producer Quint Davis; Julius Feltus, senior advisor to Mayor of New Orleans LaToya Cantrell; New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Foundation President Tara Hernandez; Doug Shipley, President Fairgrounds Racing, Gaming, OTBs at Churchill Downs Incorprated; President and CEO of New Orleans & Company Walt Leger; New Orleans City Councilmember Eugene Green; Fred Palmer, Shell USA Inc.'s corporate relations regional manager for the Southeast U.S.; and Rachel Blanco, market manager at Expedia Group.

Topics covered during the speeches included Jazz Fest's nurturing, cultivation, and preservation of New Orleans' unique food, music scene, art, and traditions for over 50 years; how the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Foundation gives back to the community; the partnerships Jazz Fest has with the Fair Grounds, Shell USA Inc., Expedia; and more information about Jazz Fest and its history.

Big Announcements

The Month-Out Press Party also had several announcements to share regarding this year's Jazz Fest. One of which is that the stage-by-stage music schedule "The Cubes," the list of arts and crafts participants, and the list of food vendors and their menu items for this year are now live on nojazzfest.com.

Three of the food vendors were actually at the party and were giving out samples of what they will be offering this year. They included:

· Returning vendor Panaroma Foods Inc., which was serving Crawfish Bread and Sausage & Jalapeno Bread and will be at Jazz Fest for both weekends.

· Brand new vendor Clesi's, which had Cajun Crawfish Dirty Rice and will present both weekends at Jazz Fest.

· Returning vendor Marie's Sugar Dumplings, which gave out Sweet Potato and Pecan Mini Pies and who will be present at Jazz Fest's Congo Square Stage.

It was also announced that the Expedia Cultural Exchange Pavilion, as well as the entire Cultural Exchange Area, will be celebrating the country of Colombia. Local New Orleans band Los Güiros was present at the party and were performing songs that showcased their unique psychedelic cumbia sound.

The press party also had an unveiling of this year's official Jazz Fest poster. The poster, done by artist Kellie Talbot, is entitled "Give Us A Sign: A Portrait of The Dixie Cups" and celebrates the iconic local girl group the Dixie Cups, as well as the 60th anniversary of their hit single "Chapel of Love."
