Horses are something of a wonder by themselves, but this
weekend, there is a horse-related event that is even more exciting. Equine Reflections is a nonprofit
"dedicated to fostering better lives and stronger communities through
equine-assisted learning, therapies, and activities." In other words, they
support good living through the wonder of horses. And this weekend, they are
offering an event for the horse-lover in you, known as the Say "Hay" to Horses
Equine Experience, and there are many reasons that you should be excited.
The event is set up as a drive-by experience, with one
car at a time having access to a number of interactive horse "stations." Get up
close with the horses, while still staying safe and socially distant from others.
It should be fun for members of your family, both young and old.
This equine event will occur this coming Sunday,
August 9, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. It's a great opportunity to get out of the
house and do something entirely different.
The cost of admission is
$25 a group, which is for a whole carload. Additionally, each group will get a
copy of Parties and Ponies, a cookbook featuring the miniature horses of
Equine Reflections. The event is the perfect way to cap off you weekend. Make
sure to bring your camera to capture all the many exciting photo opportunities
with the horses.
For safety reasons, the
event is outdoors, and social distancing protocols and masks are required.
