The first Sunday in October this year is
celebrating National Vodka Day. And what better way to celebrate this momentous
occasion than with a Bloody Mary at brunch? Sunday, October 4, make your way
into one of these five restaurants for some of the most delicious, most
incredible Bloody Marys around the Big Easy. These Bloody Marys make vodka proud.
Apolline Restaurant
Open for brunch Wednesday though Sunday, Apolline is sure to
satisfy your Bloody Mary craving (or help your Saturday-morning hangover) with their
Deluxe Bloody Mary. This drink is a brunch special at Apolline, including two
shots of vodka, house-made Bloody Mary mix, bacon, a biscuit, shrimp, okra,
olives, celery, and, of course, spicy beans. This Bloody would go perfect with
their Eggs Apolline entrée. 4729 Magazine St,. (504) 894,8881, apollinerestaurant.com
Atchafalaya
If you are a Bloody Mary fanatic, then
Atchafalaya will be the perfect spot to celebrate National Vodka Day with your
favorite cocktail. Atchafalaya's brunch includes their very own Bloody Mary Bar—a
very NOLA way to do brunch. Be sure to make a reservation or get there as early
as possible, as brunch is their most popular time of the day, and they will get
crowded quickly. 901 Louisiana Ave., (504) 891-9626, atchafalayarestaurant.com
Willa Jean
This delicious restaurant serves a great
yet simple WJ Bloody Mary. Willa Jean is
open seven days a week, from 7 a.m until 3 p.m. (just in time for brunch).
Their Bloody Mary is made with their famous Willa Jean mix and pickles. The
menu is filled with a wide selection of great brunch items, but we suggest pairing
this drink with the Hangover Bowl, which comes with short ribs and a poached
egg over cheese grits. 611 O'Keefe Ave., (504) 509-7334, willajean.com
Elizabeth's Restaurant
For weekend brunch, head over to Elizabeth's Restaurant for
a Famous House Bloody Mary. This restaurant is known for its brunch cocktail
menu. Elizabeth's also has a virgin Bloody Mary, so non-drinkers don't have to
miss out on the fun. Their weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 8
a.m. to 3 p.m. They are not taking reservations for brunch at this time, so be
sure to get up early to get there and get your spot. 601 Gallier St., (504)

Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon

other, head over to Bobby Hebert's Cajun
Cannon. This house special Cajun Bloody Mary has Absolut Peppar Vodka
infused with sundried tomatoes, cocktail onions, spicy green beans, olives, and
their own house Bloody Mary mix. This is the perfect place to spend National
