Fidelity Bank White Linen Night
On August 6, Fidelity bank will host its annual "White Linen Night" to showcase artists and creatives from across the city. The event will start with Art District NOLA's monthly art walk from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and it will transition into a nighttime festival with appearances from local bars, restaurants and live music.
Why "White Linen"?
Patrons are encouraged to attend the event in all-white outfits and costumes. The tradition comes from the 1984 World's Fair, in which old warehouses were turned into art galleries. Fairgoers were set to attend the event in all-white attire to beat the heat. Now, for 28 years, New Orleans has taken this custom and turned it into a reason to celebrate.

Where is White Linen Night?
White Linen Night will take place on Julia Street in the city's Arts District. Approximately 300 - 600 blocks of the street will be designated for the festival. The celebration will occur across the New Orleans Arts District, with twenty local museums and galleries participating.
White Linen Night is located in the Arts District of New Orleans (ADNO), which is home to art museums, galleries and several institutions. ADNO supports all forms of art including visual, musical, culinary and performance. The area is also home to a number of stunning murals, as well as, cafes, bars and restaurants. Sponsors
The lead sponsor for White Linen Night is Fidelity Bank. After multiple cancellations due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Fidelity Bank did not want the city of New Orleans to go another year without the beloved arts festival. They have always been a proud sponsor of the city's economic and cultural endeavors and they wanted to partner with a powerful community project. The company's CEO has stated that their mission is to remain a part of New Orleans "for good" and to keep events like these running through the years.
What to Expect
The streets of ADNO will be filled with the newest installations and exhibitions from local artists, galleries and museums. Guests can also visit The Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) and The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, which are just off of the Julia Street celebrations.
