Deadly Virus? This Isn't Any Monkey Business.

According to Nola.com, federal investigators about back at the Tulane National Primate Research Center near Covington, Louisana where seven monkeys have been infected with a potentially deadly pathogen.

Various teams from places such as the Center for Disease Control are investigating the facility where there was an outbreak of the bacteria Burkholderia pseudomallei last November. Every animal that has passed through the veterinary clinic must be tested.

Officials say this is not a current public health risk, but are puzzled and concerned about how the outbreak occurred.
