High-profile
comedians Dave Chapelle, known from Chapelle's Show, and Joe Rogan, who
also is a very famous podcaster, have announced that they will be hosting shows
in Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena on September 3 and in New Orleans at the
Smoothie King Center on September 4.
Dave
Chapelle has won awards for comedy and is also a screen writer and has won the
Mark Twain Award. Joe Rogan, on the other hand, has had some of his work
documented on Netflix and, as aforementioned, is the host of one of the most
popular podcast on Spotify. Rogan also has worked in films like Chapelle, being
featured in Here Comes The Boom and Zookeeper.
Both
shows will be hosted by ASM Global, a company that specializes in entertainment
all across the world. The New Orleans show will take place in the New Orleans
Smoothie King Center at 8 p.m. and tickets started being sold on June 25.
Tickets will have to be printed at home ahead of time, but can easily be
purchased and printed off of Ticketmaster.
The
show will have a mask requirement policy and any sort of recording is not
permitted at the show. In terms of mobile phones, the press release states that
"all phones and smart watches will be secured in
Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their phones
throughout the night, and if needed, may access their phones at designated
Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby." It also states, "Anyone caught with a
cellphone in the venue will be immediately ejected. We appreciate your
cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience."
