Cocktail Hour. As the Museum of the American Cocktail prepares to move, they’re holding a series of happy hours to help cover costs.

Cocktail dinner and a seminar. On Dec. 3, MOTAC co-founder Philip Greene will discuss his book, To Have and Have Another: A Hemingway Cocktail Companion, which approaches Ernest Hemingway’s life and works through cocktails, and includes 50 drinks recipes. This MOTAC fundraiser includes dinner and begins 6 p.m. at the Windsor Court’s Grill Room; tickets are $120. And the book ($24) makes a sweet holiday gift for your favorite cocktail lover.

Cocktails of the week. The Irish House is crafting a new specialty cocktail every week; at press time, it was a cherry vodka martini, topped with a splash of Sprite.

Be an Ambassador. To reflect its growing attention on small-batch bourbon distillers, Avenue Pub is launching a Bourbon Ambassadors’ Club. Your first bourbon flight gets you a passport, with room for 10 flights and 8 single pours of bourbon. Halfway through the passport, you’ll become a Bourbon Ambassador; perks include your name on the wall, a bottle of the pub’s Private Select 12-year Elijah Craig single barrel, and an engraved fl ask. You’ll have to buy the drinks, of course, but club membership is free, and gets you a free monthly pour of a select bourbon, first notice of limited special releases, and invites to Master Distiller events.

Drinks at Delmonico. Emeril’s Delmonico is now running weekday drinks specials: Monday, $5 pre-Prohibition cocktails at the bar; Tuesday, a new market-fresh cocktail, half-priced at the bar; Wednesday, a rare wine served half-price for all dinner guests; Thursday, all local beers are $3 at the bar; Friday, a seasonal cocktail offered half-price at the bar.
