Five Happiness offers steamed dumplings—with meat
or veggies—as appetizers. For $7.30, you can get six vegetable dumplings or
seven of the non-vegetarian variety. This is an esteemed restaurant and,
according to their website, was selected as the Best Chinese Restaurant of New
Orleans. They have been serving New Orleans locals for around 30 years. Five

Jung's Golden Dragon
This
restaurant offers three options for dumplings: steamed pork dumplings, steamed pork
and vegetable dumplings, and pan-fried pork and vegetable dumplings—all for
$9.95. Each of these servings comes with eight pieces. As written on their
website, Jung's Golden Dragon is known "for its outstanding
Chinese cuisine, excellent service, and friendly staff." So you just might find

Luvi
Luvi offers Curried Favor Dumplings: caramelized
onion dumplings with curry broth, for $15. Or try the Pan-Fried Vegan-Lover
Dumplings: pan-fried bok choy, mushrooms, and green beans in noodle dumplings,
for $12. This restaurant was also the 2020 James Beard Semi-Finalist for Best
Chef South, according to their website. Luvi is closed on Sundays and Mondays,
but they'll have plenty of dumplings waiting for you any other day of the week.

Golden Wall Restaurant
Golden
Wall offers quantity as well as quality: Their dumplings, filled with pork and
cabbage and either pan-fried or steamed, are $6.75 for 10! They also include
pork-and-shrimp dumplings in their wonton soup, which starts at $3.50.
