These long summer days leave a lot of time to explore the city. Here are some of our tips on how to stay busy and have fun for this coming weekend.

Tulane's "Bandstand"

Tulane kicks off its Summer Lyric Theatre series this Thursday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the University's Uptown Campus. The first show of the summer is "Bandstand," a Broadway musical that opened in 2017 and chronicles the early days of America following the end of the Second World War. For tickets you can call the number 504-865-5169. 58 Newcomb Circle

Harrah's Finale Drawing

Who wants to be a millionaire? Harrah's Casino will be drawing its finale and grand finale prize winners this Saturday, June 25 at its location downtown. While you can already be earning entries into the drawing pool, you have until 7 p.m. on Friday to become involved. One lucky winner has a chance to walk away with $1million, but there are still plenty of prizes to be handed to those with a little less luck. 8 Canal Street

Sazerac Cocktail Week at Sazerac House

Celebrate sazeracs all week long at Sazerac House on Magazine. The sazerac drink is a New Orleans native, so it only seems fitting there's an entire bar dedicated to it. And an entire week to celebrate it, too! Even better? A portion of all profit will be given back to the city that made the drink, benefitting the tremendous organization, Feed the Second Line. 101 Magazine Street
