Spirits in the Park 2026
Halloween celebrations are heading to the Northshore this fall with the debut of Spirits in the Park, a new festival combining live music, family-friendly activities, and plenty of scares.
Taking over the Great Lawn at Coquille Park in Covington from October 30 through November 1, the Halloween weekend event will feature three days of free concerts alongside food trucks, vendors, a kids zone, and the new Sawmill Haunted House.

Music, Food, and Halloween Fun
Spirits in the Park will include a free concert series throughout Halloween weekend. Friday's music begins at 6 p.m. with the Class of '98 Band and Kings of Neon. On Halloween, Beaucoup Boogie, The Boogiemen, and The Bucktown All-Stars will perform beginning at 3 p.m., followed by Paper Chase on Sunday at 5 p.m. DJs, food trucks, vendors, and cold drinks will also be available throughout the festival.
The festival comes from the creators of The Mortuary Haunted Mansion and is being presented alongside the new Sawmill Haunted House at Coquille Park. The Sawmill is a brand-new Northshore haunted attraction opening October 2 and takes inspiration from Louisiana folklore and supernatural legends. Its fictional Widow's Landing setting incorporates ghost ships, river pirates, haunted lighthouses, cemeteries, vampires, and the dark waters of the Tchefuncte.
Visitors looking for something less frightening can head to the festivals family area and kids zone on October 31 and November 1. Children are encouraged to come in costume and trick-or-treat among the market booths. The scare-free area will also include colorful decorations, entertainment, a STEM robotics showcase, themed inflatables, and pumpkin painting.

Face Your Fear at The Sawmill
Once the music ends, guests looking for a scare can step inside The Sawmill Haunted House and experience the legend of Widow's Landing.
The Sawmill is also partnering with The Blood Center to encourage visitors to donate blood during the Halloween season. Anyone who gives blood at The Sawmill will receive a free VIP admission ticket to the haunted attraction. Friends accompanying donors can purchase regular admission while receiving faster access with the donor.
Spirits in the Park will take place October 30 through November 1 on the Great Lawn at Coquille Park, located at 13505 Highway 1085 in Covington. Festival admission and live music are free, while admission to The Sawmill Haunted House requires a separate ticket.
