Louisiana Renaissance Festival 2026

The Louisiana Renaissance Festival is returning to Hammond this fall, bringing knights, pirates, performers, and plenty of medieval-inspired entertainment back to the Northshore.

Running on select weekends from November 7 through December 13, the annual festival transforms the Hammond countryside into the Village of Albright, a recreation of a 16th century English village. Visitors can explore artisan shops, watch live performances, enjoy themed food and drinks, and take part in activities inspired by history and fantasy.

Located at 46468 River Rd., the Louisiana Renaissance Festival has been a fall tradition for more than 25 years, offering an experience for families, history enthusiasts, and visitors looking for something different to do.

A Village Full of Medieval Fun

Throughout the festival, guests can explore a village filled with more than 600 artisans, performers, and craftspeople.

Entertainment includes live jousting tournaments, musical performances, comedy, and demonstrations of traditional skills such as glassblowing and blacksmithing. Visitors can also shop for handmade clothing, jewelry, accessories, and other crafts from merchants throughout the grounds.

Food and drinks are another part of the experience, with festival vendors offering a variety of meals, snacks, and beverages. Guests can also reserve special tasting experiences featuring beer, mead, wine, tea, cocktails, and other drinks.

Costumes are encouraged but not required, allowing visitors to participate in the Renaissance atmosphere however they prefer.

From November 27-29, Lore & Legends Weekend will focus on mythology, storytelling, and legendary characters. Visitors can participate in themed activities and dress as knights, gods, or other figures from folklore.

The festival continues December 5 and 6 with Viking Weekend, featuring Norse-inspired entertainment, axe-throwing activities, and shield wall demonstrations.

The season concludes December 12 and 13 with Yuletide Market & Fireworks Weekend, combining holiday shopping, caroling, and festive entertainment. Fireworks are scheduled for both evenings, with festivities continuing until approximately 8 p.m.
