While the
New Orleans Wine and Food Experience had to be postponed this year, the
organization recently announced the continuation of their successful wine
dinner series. The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, September 2: At Justine, featuring Old
World-New World Challenge - Wines of Burgundy, California, and
Oregon (Reservations: 504-218-8533)
Wednesday, September 9: At Ralph's on the Park, featuring
La Crema Winery (Reservations: 504-488-1000)
Thursday, September 17: Rib Room, featuring Flambeaux
Wine (SOLD OUT)
Wednesday, September 23: Café Reconcile, featuring
Hendrick's Gin (Reservations: 504-934-1646)
Wednesday, September 23: The Bower, featuring K Vintners (Reservations: 504-582-9738)
These dinners are sure to be delicious, especially if July's
dinner series is any indication—they all sold out. NOWFE director Aimee Brown
notes that all dinners will follow appropriate social distancing protocols. She
hopes these programs will offer support to local businesses.
The restaurants featured in this series are among the best
that New Orleans has to offer, and they all have their own unique stories. Café
Reconcile, for instance, is a nonprofit serving New Orleans residents, and The
Bower is in partnership with the local Sugar Roots Farm. With this selection of
restaurants, there's bound to be something for everyone, and just thinking
about all that food is enough to make you hungry. Call the numbers listed to
make reservations.
