GenZ Fest: Battle of the Bands Edition
The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission is inviting the best local bands to battle for the crown of ultimate champion.
On August 23 from 2-5 p.m., the XULA Convention Center will become the stage of NOLA's biggest music showdown: GenZ Fest.
Who is Performing?
High school marching bands from across New Orleans will participate in a high-stakes competition, showcasing the talents of up-and-coming musicians.
Besides hosting the battle of the bands, GenZ Fest features performances from BJ So Cole, Top Noch, and Subtweet Shawn. DJ Chicken Wing will mix and spin tracks for the entirety of the festival.
New Orleans' entertainer Rude Jude, a comedian who has performed in some of the biggest Southern cities, will host the festival.

Who Can Attend?
The event is free for teenagers between the ages of 13-18. To reserve a general admission ticket, teenagers can visit Eventbrite.
Since the event is teenager-only, parents and guardians must drop their children off at the Xavier Convention Center.
How to Attend?
Attendees must follow the event's dress code, which prohibits backpacks, hoodies, and masks. GenZ Fest will follow a clear bag policy, and no small bags will be allowed.
The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) will be present to enforce the dress code and bag policy. The NOPD maintains the right to deny entry or remove attendees due to policy violations.
