NOLA Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy Opens 2025 Applications
The Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy has announced that applications for the 2025 Cultural Economy Grant Funding Program will be opening on May 1, 2025.
This year, 25 grants of $2,000 will be awarded to individuals and organizations dedicated to supporting cultural initiatives such as workshops, events, and networking opportunities, all of which align with the office's mission of fostering New Orleans' cultural economy.
The grant program is designed to fund various cultural economy activities. This funding includes workshops, training, and conferences that help build the capacity of cultural nonprofits, neighborhood organizations, and cultural businesses. Additionally, it also supports events in areas such as entertainment, design, preservation, culinary arts, literary arts, and visual arts.

Grant Applications
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and for-profit businesses that are licensed with New Orleans and Louisiana and are in good standing. However, for-profit businesses are only eligible to apply for funding related to community or cultural activities, rather than for-profit initiatives and projects.
Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until the final deadline on June 1, 2025. All programs and projects must occur within the 2025 calendar year to be considered eligible for funding. Applicants can submit only one proposal this year; multiple submissions from the same applicant will not be considered. To receive grant funding, all grant recipients must have a fiscal agent and also be registered in the City's Procurement and Finance System (BRASS) to receive funds. The estimated processing time for awards is estimated to be between 30 to 60 days, so applicants are advised to plan accordingly.
