Showcasing the Rich Cultural Tapestry of Music
On Friday, November 1, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will join with two-time Grammy winners Lost Bayou Ramblers, as well as New Orleans based band Sweet Crude, to perform at the Orpheum Theater, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Celebrating the state's unique heritage, the groups will perform authentic French music, showcasing a vital aspect of Louisiana's cultural identity.

These three musical groups—the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Sweet Crude, and Lost Bayou Ramblers—are all unique and different in their own ways, and will each help to uncover different aspects of Louisiana's musical identity. From the Lost Bayou Ramblers Cajun rhythms to Sweet Crude's indie-pop sounds heavily influenced by French tradition, there is so much to experience and learn during this musical event.
On a mission to transform people's lives through music, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra is a Grammy-award winning, full-time, professional orchestra. Made up of 67 talented musicians, conducting nearly 120 performances throughout their 36-week session, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra plays a multitude of music, celebrating the diversity of their orchestra staff and the diversity of their musical training.
Orpheum Theater
The concert will last about 90 minutes, with a slight intermission in the middle. The Orpheum Theater is an accessible theater, with plenty of accommodations for those who need them. Tickets range in prices depending on seating and can be purchased here or at the box office one hour prior to the start of the show.
