A Taste of Louisiana's Culture

The Louisiana Food and Wine Festival in Lake Charles has announced its schedule for this year's festival, which will be filled with wine, beer, delicious cuisine, guest chefs, and loads of other events.

Presented by Rouses Market and hosted by Visit Lake Charles, the festival will be from September 19-22. With all the delicious food and exquisite wines, it is no surprise this festival was awarded a LOUEY award by the Louisiana Travel Association for Best Festival/Event of the Year. Festival organizers say people come from all across the United States and even Canada to see what this festival has to offer. From interactive cooking sessions to wine tastings, every day of this festival has a variety of different events for its festival-goers to dabble into.

September 19

Presented by Explore Louisiana and Louisiana Seafood, the "Louisiana's Celebrity Chef Wine Dinner" will take place at 7 p.m. at the SOWELA Technical Community College, with a reception beforehand at 6 p.m. This exquisite dinner will offer a six-course meal by some of Louisiana's best chefs, but also award-winning chefs countrywide. The dinner will be served with wine from Jackson Family Wines, a partner of the festival.
