A Suspenseful and Spooky Performance
Over the course of two weekends from Friday, October 25 through Sunday, November 3, the Jefferson Parish Performing Arts Center in Metairie will present: Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical.
A gothic, deeply haunting, yet riveting story—perfect for the spooky Halloween season—the musical will feature 28 talented, local performers, a score of impressive music, and a classic story-line that will have audiences on the edge of their seats.
Directed by Ken Goode and with music done by Ken Leach, the musical will include popular songs "This is the Moment," "In His Eyes," and "Alive." Playing the role of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will be Tyler Walls, hailing from Kansas City and with an impressive performance background: Amazing Grace the Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Into the Woods. Accompanied by powerful actors and talented singers, Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical is a performance you won't want to miss!
A production full of dark themes, suspenseful mystery, and some gory moments, the musical is for mature audiences only. On top of the intense writing, the show will feature a 23-member live orchestra, conducted by Jefferson Performing Arts founder and creative director Maestro Dennis Assaf, adding to the suspense and drama of the story one note at a time.
Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, whilst performances on Sundays will be scheduled for 2 p.m. The Jefferson Parish Performing Arts Center prides itself on being an accessible theater and offers a wide variety of services for those who need them!
