Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival Returns
Jean Lafitte, a charming fishing town in Jefferson Parish located on scenic Bayou Barataria, will be hosting its annual seafood festival from May 29 to 31, 2026.
The festival celebrates Louisiana's delicious seafood with live music and more.
Seafood
With the festival's emphasis on fresh and authentic Louisiana seafood, guests can look forward to mouthwatering dishes. There will be many locally prepared dishes from fried oysters to shrimp po-boys.
"This is our community's signature event," said Mayor Yvette Crain in a press release. "It's a celebration of who we are—our seafood, our music, and our culture."
Music
The Jean Laffite Seafood festival also has an amazing music lineup, featuring artists such as Todd O'Neil, Wayne Toups, Craig Morgan, and the Aaron Foret Band. The music lineup is a mix of local artists and renowned performers, making it an amazing time to see a new band or an old favorite!
Bayou Beauty
The festival takes place at the Jean Lafitte Auditorium on 4953 City Park St., showing off the town's gorgeous bayou location. The grounds are set along Wetland Trace, a boardwalk that extends through a 41-acre cypress swamp. The festival is right next to Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, so guests can kayak and walk the nature trail. There will also be carnival rides and craft vendors throughout the festival!
Tickets
On Friday, May 29, the festival gates will open at 5 p.m., with music from 6 p.m. to 11:30 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, gates will open at 11 a.m., with music from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission for Friday and Sunday is $10; on Saturday, admission is $20.
