On Veterans Day, November 12, 2022 at 7pm, the Expressions of America show will open, exclusively at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, located at the Col. Battle Barksdale Parade Ground under the Bollinger Canopy of Peace. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind historical program. The host will be veteran's advocate, and acclaimed actor, Gary Sinise. Sinise will also be offering up a message about the impact many of the featured individuals had during this period of conflict.

In 2016, the museum, with a partnership of Mousetrappe (a leader in creating and producing events like Expressions) collaborated with Solomon Group in researching relevant data and content in order to create an immersive experience that will be enjoyed by people from all around the world. The inspiration for Expressions is "son et lumiere," featuring large-scale outdoor sound and light shows. It was important for the three parties involved in the process to use artifacts from the time period such as letters, oral stories, and archived footage that came directly from the people involved, and impacted from the World War II era.

Expressions of America is a 90 minute night time show (2.5 hours if you get the dinner package). This immersive experience with sound and light shows, and live entertainment, will also feature food and beverage options.

Ultimately, Expressions of America will detail the diverse men and women involved that were either influenced, or that helped in capturing the victory in World War II, including Bob Hope (Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation, financial donors). Music featured in Expressions will contain pieces by local New Orleanian musicians, and also certain members from the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Guests have two ticket options: Expressions of America Ticket, where the ticket includes a 90-minute nighttime experience featuring an immersive sound and light show outdoors plus live entertainment upon arrival, food and drinks for purchase, and more. Or, the Expressions of America Dinner Package. This ticket includes 2.5-hour experience featuring an immersive sound and light show outdoors plus three-course dinner, two cocktails/beverages, pre-show entertainment, reserved balcony seating, and souvenir photo print. However, if guests would like to visit the museum's other exhibits, additional tickets will need to be purchased. The same applies for any add-on packages: Beyond All Boundaries, Final Mission, guided tours, etc.

Prior to the event, members can log on to the event website, and view the seven featured profiles of men and women who will be featured in the show. More featured profiles will be added to the site, and to the program in the near future. These featured profiles are "soldiers, nurses, chaplains, factory workers, artists, entertainers, and supportive loved ones on the Home Front who banded together and each contributed their own meaningful acts of sacrifice, ingenuity, bravery, and love to preserve freedom."

The show will be the newest permanent addition to the museum, running three-four nights a week, varying depending on the season.
